On the 6-9 of June Cido Arena will host RSL Lithuanian International 2019!
Cido Arena is the largest multifunctional arena in Panevėžys, Lithuania. It generally hosts cycling track events, as well as basketball games, concerts. The basketball club BC Lietkabelis, which currently competes in the domestic LBL league, uses the facility for all of its LBL home fixtures. It was opened on October 24, 2008. It replaced Sports Palace Aukštaitija as the home of BC Lietkabelis. The arena boasts an indoor 250 m long olympic cycling track, the only one in the Baltic States.
The arena hosted the FIBA EuroBasket 2011 Group A matches and the European Track Championships.
The Arena was built on the initiative of Panevėžys City Council. The projects was financed by the EU Structural Funds, the Government of the Republic of Lithuania and the Municipality of Panevėžys. The building was designed by JSC Forma. The author of the project is architect Saulius Mikšta. The structural part was designed by the constructor Audrius Ražaitis. He is also the author of the Siemens and Šiauliai arena constructions. Cycling track was designed by Ralph Schürmann. General Construction Contractor - JSC Panevėžio statybos trestas. The total value of the building was 108 million litas.
